Big 3 Qeustion ( Not your average big 3 Q )

adding wire doesn't create power. It merely eliminates the stock wiring as a point of resistance in the electrical system. More and more wire will have GREATLY diminishing returns. Even high output alternators would have a hard time saturating short "big 3" runs of 1/0 gauge at full load.

Had like 2runs of 1/0 for his big 3..... Then again.... he had 4 runs of power and ground to the back soooo... lol might need it.

more wire does equal less resistance but also anywhere you get a drop (weakest link between alt, battery and amps) will effect the total system. meaning even if you did the big 3 doubled you would still be choking it out some with one long run front to back as compared to the double big 3 up front.

wait. WTF? Do u know the real reason of the big 3? and again..... WTF?

Lol, I was using the amp example on how it can increase your voltage by having more runs of 1/0.....And I was meaning can the "Big 6" help out more with your voltage since there was more paths for voltage to travel......

But after readiing all the posts on here I understand that more wires is less resistance but isnt really needed unless you have a system that you compete with......And from this Im geussing that the people that compete with their systems have done the big 3 twice except it was going to there other alternator(s)//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fro.gif.c695f1f814b01c4ad99fe7f8cccadd29.gif

ALMOST got it..... fixed ur mistake

Bigger wire and quantity of it does not mean more strain on charging source to have to 'saturate' it.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/graduate.gif.d982460be9f153bb54e5d4cb744f6ae8.gif If that was the case, the car chassis would take forever to saturate.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/graduate.gif.d982460be9f153bb54e5d4cb744f6ae8.gif:graduate://content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/graduate.gif.d982460be9f153bb54e5d4cb744f6ae8.gif
