Big 3 ** PICS **

Did the Big 3 in my car. I don't notice a difference because I didn't have a problem to begin with. I did this so that when I get a bigger amp I won't have to worry about it.

The terminals are knu, like others said the ring terminal part of the battery terminals doesn't accept 0 gauge rings even though it is made for 0 gauge wire. Big drawback imo. If the thing is made for a certain size ring and it doesn't fit there is something seriously wrong there. Knukonceptz, why do you sell terminals that don't fit??? /rant.

I just sanded off some of the ring with a dremel/sanding bit. The wire is all knu kolossus 1/0 gauge which is very nice.

Chassis to battery negative. The postive terminal is full to the brim. The stock wiring going into it took up both holes so I put the alternator + and amp + into the top ring terminal part.

Engine to chassis ground.

Alternator + wire. The alternator is a couple inches below where the wire ends in the pic. I tied the wire to wall with existing clip holes. I took the clips out.

That wire is ****ing huge.
Indeed. This stuff is rediculous. I was thinking about keeping a 1.5 foot piece in my car instead of a bat.

Another thing I had to do is break off these little plastic pieces that were in the way on the alternator.

To break them off I took off the whole plastic part then put the end pieces in my table vice. A couple snaps later and they were all gone. I don't even see a point to why they were there in the first place.

I love these cars with empty engines bays. Mine is so god **** cramed. I have to take out pulleys, belts and the air filter out to get to the battery, and it's still hard to get out. And the alt, well, we will save that for another day.

Yeah. '94 Integra, my voltage stays at 14.7 always, even at idle (I'm only running 400 watts rms). If I turn my amp all the way up it drops a little though, so I know when I get a bigger amp (plan on about 1200 watts or so) I'll need the Big 3, so I crossed that bridge ahead of time.

IIRC I used 4 feet exactly. Luckily I ordered 4 feet, I didn't even measure or anything before I ordered and it ended up being axactly what I needed.

I can't tell by your photo but since your car is a unibody ...you still need to run an equal size ground from your battery back to your amp or amps...If you have 4ga power then 4ga gnd etc....your wiring looks good //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I thought it was engine block not bolt on head.
Same difference. The head is after all bolted to the block..

As long as his ground in the back reads as close to 0 resistance as possible, he's fine.
