So I only have like an 80 amp alt. on my '73 duster. The alt seems kind of different. It doesnt really have a positive post on it I guess you could say. I cant really explain it cause its not in front of me. But is it still possible to do the big 3 on an old alt? The alt is brand new, but its old style I guess.

you do not have an alternator on that car. it is a generator.
it is considered an alt in the duster's case

Yeah there are a couple of small wires that just slip on to it. Then there is this wire that I guess goes to the + and it has a ring terminal on it. It connects to this plug thing on the engine then continues on around the engine, I dont know where.

Also....when doing the big 3, can I have the engine to chassis ground, the same as the neg. batt. to chassis ground? Or should I make 2 seperate grounds?
