Big 3 on a Volkswagon? Anyone done it?

the alternator is pretty much impossible to get to without removing other parts at the bottom of the car. the oil pan pretty much covers a large part of the opening and probably gives you enough room to touch the alternator's positive post with the tip of your finger. then there's also a rubber cap on the post. so for me, i couldn't do it, might take it to my mechanic soon. you can still upgrade your grounds though. and your car might be different.. i've seen 4 cylinder passats with the alternator on top, which gives easy access.
