Big 3 - Grounding

I've seen a few takes on this so I'm throwin' it back out there:

1. Any difference grounding the negative post of the battery to the block vs. chassis (my GM grounds it to the block).

2. Any issues grounding to the same chassis ground point for both the negative battery post ground and the block ground?

3. Is the chassis ground point on the sheet metal better/worse than grounding to the frame?

Well, maybe someone can post the link to the thread then as I have searched and been unable to find it...guess I'll try again. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

Guess I gotta wait for everyone to come inside and sober up from all that beeah! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

1. No2. No

3. Chassis is the frame so question doesn't make sense.
1. Thanks

2. Thanks

3. I've noted that some specify they picked a ground point on the sheet metal vs. the actual frame (like a shock mount location). I was just curious if one was less resistive than another or if it really matters. I do try to make sense. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

Awesome, nice thread.
So, as a followup, how is did the install work out for you? Are you happy that you did it? Any noticeable changes since doing it?
yea i actually notced a big difference, voltage used to swing to 11.9 at times, lowest ive seen it go since big three was 13.1-12.9 which IMO is a big differance, but thats all full volume + full bass boost, which i dont use.. its a daily set-up, usually never dips below 13.8, voltage is 14.4

so yeah, id say it made a big noticable difference.. just depends on how much power you have running through really, ive got 1200rms going, works fine but 1500+ would need big three + second batt, depending on current electrical of course

Cool! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif My "Big 3" supplies arrived from Knu today and I can't wait to get started.
