Big 3 & New Battery

I'm doing the big3 soon and since I was already doing that junk I might as well add a new battery, I was thinking the YT Optima? What do you guys think? I can get them for about $175 or so

wont hurt to get a new batt

but if your old one is holding up, save the cash and keep using it.

but thats your decision, but i say do it.

Thats the thing, i'm dropping around 10-11 volts causing my amp to go into thermal protection..

you can just ground to the frame...you might have too look into a highoutput alternator if the bat does not help a great deal.

Well my current alt is rated at 150amps.. Shouldn't that be enough for 1500wrms with big3 and a yellowtop?

that alternator should be more then enough....you can look into deka, powermaster etc.

Should I just do the big3 and take it from there? Because there is a guy on ca.com selling 3foot 1/0 wire for 8 bucks piece, either I buy 3 of those, or I buy a 50ft spool and sell the leftover wire..

so I have enough for the battery to reach the trunk

just 3 feet>? i know in one of my runs on the big three is at least 10.....either way its your call...i would do the big three and the battery....and for the back battery all you have to do is ground to the frame....you dont have to run negative to negative from the front battery...if thats the way you wanna do it...then you can..just a waste

eh, you're right. i'd rather just buy the spool use what I need (rather be safe then sorry) and sell the rest. what battery should I get? another yellow top?
