I am looking to do this big 3 upgrade finnally, is this a good example of a fuse that I would use in the wire that runs from the alternator to the positive terminal to the battery?

Is this even a good idea if I have a 60 amp alt?

Just use a 60A fuse. I had one of these and it didnt blow until i started hitting around 136DB. if you only have a 60A alt you probly wont get near this number... If the 60 keeps popping bump it up a little but in my opinion better safe then sorry. Hope this helps

fuse the wire not the alternator. if youre using 1/0 gauge then you should fuse 250-300amp
