BIG 3 4runner help

Has anyone don the big 3 on a 4th gen 4runner v8?

seems daunting since i cant even see the alt

Im staying in Milwaukee, Wi for the summer. I asked an audio shop how much would the big 3 cost.. They quoted me $200 approx 3 hours. That price is not including the 1/0 gauge welding cable. WHich I got from remy battery located here in milwaukee. Seems pricy. I just dont have tools or a way of getting to the alt seems it underneath

That does seem a little pricey...or at the least for me,but Ive been doing my own since the early 90s,and late 80s,with exception of a couple that I had no time for,and ended up redoing myself correctly.What tear model is the 4 runner? Shouldnt be any harder than a Honda to do. Its just 3 wires added to the existing.Wire and terminal lugs and heat shrink isnt that expensive off line,and a couple hours of your time is worth the savings

Boxed in wrenches can be had cheaply used and possibly returned if in good condition

Im going to try it out this week. rather save those 200 for a 2nd battery
