Haven't had a lot of experience with different subs. I'm trading my Shiva-X2 for something needing less power, that will bang just as hard or harder in a 1.5-2.0 cf sealed box on 1000 or less(less is better if it's still quality). The offers so far that I'm considering are: Image Dynamics MAX, DD 1512, CMP12(though it's looking like it really likes power), and the Infinity Kappa Perfect.

For those that have heard them, which would you recommend to get loud and clean?

That's kinda where I was leaning. What kind of power do they like? Think they'll get as loud or louder than the Shiva?

Ok,I finally got a chance to model them(not counting cabin gain, not sure how) with Win ISD and the IDmax does a little better than the shiva(around 2db) until about 34Hz where the shiva takes over for the same 2db difference. Not so sure I'm going to notice much difference.

What if I decided to go with 2 10s instead, would that be better?
