Best place to buy Pioneer 880PRS (online)?

So my old Pioneer headunit is dying and it is time to upgrade. What site would you guys recommend buying the 880PRS online? I've heard that OnlineCarAudio is kind of shady so I'm looking for other (reputable) options. Thanks gents! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

edit: Okay, I may consider OnlineCarAudio afterall... I just realized I have bought previous things from them in the past without incident. On that note, does OnlineCarAudio honor the 2 year warranty on the 880PRS or is that just through Pioneer?

FYIIf you don't buy it from an Authorized dealer there will be no warranty
How do we know who is authorized?

You mean if I buy a brand new un opened unit of Ebay Pioneer will not cover it?

I was looking at the 690 and it's priced at $330.00 at a local retailer here. Found it new on Ebay for $208.00 with shipping from a seller with over 15000 feedbacks with a 99.7% positive.

For a HU that is going into a 69 vette that will not be used as a daily driver, I'm thinking warranty means crap to me. I have 2 other non daily drivers one with a sony and the other a pioneer and never have had a problem with either. I think by the time I ever would have a problem the warranty would be up anyhow...

The sony has been in the Camaro since I finished the car in 03 and the Pioneer in the Tahoe since 99.

I got mine refurbed on e-bay for $275 shipped. It started having alt whine problems, so I sent it to get repaired, got it back a week later. It had a 90 day warranty. So you can get a warranty online, just not a 2 yr one.

That is correct that no online sellers are certified Premier dealers. If you go to http://www.pioneerelectronics.com and then click on "find a dealer" you can get an idea of what it will actually cost. You can get extended warrantee's through online sellers but read the fine print as there is usualy a charge each time you send it in and usually no less then $100. Only buy online if you are willing to pay out if something goes wrong. I personally try to buy from a certified dealer but sometimes the price is not worth it and it really depends on the quality of what you are buying.

I used to work at a store and people would come in with items they purchased online that needed work. with most manufacturers, we where not even aloud to take the item in. We had to send them to a local fix-it shop for twice the price.

I got my 880 from onlinecarstereo and it comes with a 1 year warranty.. you can also purchase an extended warranty but all warranty is through them not pioneer(like best buy or curit city)... Ive had no problems with them in the past.....

i too, got mine from ebay, seller you ugotadeal. no alt whine, everything's perfect
I got mine from the same seller, good price and they offered the warranty. Mine IS defective, I doubt it's the sellers fault though i'm sure it's pioneers. The mid/front output is just static.
