With a pair of DVC 4 Ohm drivers your wiring options are either a final load of 1 Ohm, 4 Ohms, or 16 Ohms. As I just typed in another thread asking about wiring I cannot see the need or even the desire to wire a pair of subs to a 16 Ohm nominal load so that option can be disregarded as ignorant. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
That leaves us with either 1 Ohm or 4 Ohms as our nominal load options.
The RMS rating on the Type R is 500w but many, many people have successfully put considerably more into them so we'll say for optimum performance you'll want to put between 500w and 750w to each of them.
So - you're looking for an amp that will output between 1,000w and 1,500w at either 1 Ohm or 4 Ohms.
Finding an amp that will output that level of power at 1 Ohm will likely be both easier to source and considerably cheaper to acquire.
Armed with this information, and the knowledge of your budget being whatever your budget is, look around and see what's available that fits both your power needs and your available level of $$$ to spend on this amp.
Good luck and enjoy!
My personal suggestion? Because I am a Diamond Audio fanboi, admittedly, one of the following would suit you just fine if you can find one that suits your spending preferences:
D51200.1
D61000.1
D61500.1
Any of those three would work great for what you're needing.
Certainly there are plenty of other options, however, those are just my personal top picks because of what I personally like.
