best amp for power?????

i have 2 12" cerwin vega strokers (both dual voice coil) and i have an MTX thunder 1000D amplifier running them. They are loud as heck but i need a better amp. This amp doesn't seem to cut it. I have had problems with amp spikes and i also heard that it got recalled. Now i am looking for a amp that could push the 2 12" strokers and fully utilize their sound. Money is not a primary issue but i would prefer an amp that gives me more thump for my buck. If anyone could help me out i would really appreciate it.

i narrowed it down between crossfire and jl 1000/1. Does anyone know where to find jl's cheap?

Hey look into the orion XTRPRO 2400, that will give you 1200 watts a sub and it costs about 850-900. This amp is a little more pricy than the ones Ranger suggested, but I think they are great amps.

Most of the amps that Ranger suggested fall into the same class as the mtx you just had around 1000watts@2 or 1 ohm. The Orion will give that power to each sub and will fully utilize their power.

Go crossifre man. I am telling u they are worth the money. They push those subs hard kore. Its not even funny. It made my boy brent's 2 ma audio subs hit about 2 tyme harder than they did with his old ma audio 1300 watt amp.

I personally love Crossfire, but you need to look into Autotek amps also...there awesome. As for Orion, they are great amps, but the have a little problem sometimes down around 1 ohm...

do you know where i can find crossfire amps cheep ? (or at least cheeper than most places). I found JBL BP1200.1 1200-Watt Subwoofer Amplifier for only 275 so i was thinking about getting that instead of a crossfire but i am not sure yet

I've got 2 1200.1s running at 1 ohm and it is great...I would seriously recomend it. I am also looking into a Autotek MX-5000...

I personally don't like XTANT, especially not the subs...the amps are okay...

The Xtant amps are a little expensive, but the power, and clarity that these amps send to subs is amazing. There are not many dealers that give prices over the net, but I am sure that if you really looked you could find some prices.
