i picked up two 10" mtx thunder subs last night, unfortunatly i've discovered that my older alpine mrv-t707 dosn't have enough power to puch them the way i'd like. if i bought two MTX TC2002 amps (one for each sub) do you think i'd have enough power, or should i go bigger?? the subs are 225 watts rtms, and mtx rates that amp at 200 rms. seems like a perfect match to me. or should i just go bigger?

you can bridge it. it'll put out 340 watts x 1 at 2 ohms. that's at 14.4 volts.
i have it bridged into 4 ohms now, i say the hell with it if it fries then it fries and gives me an excuse to upgrade //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

if you are using both subs, you can't be at 4 ohms.
