Just realized I didn't have a build log up on here, so I figured I would put one up. Here is when I first bought my Jeep:

Threw a Defender roof rack on it:

Scored a great deal on a brand new ARB bumper, here it is installed:

Also have a 4.5" lift that will be going on hopefully within the next month or so, just picked up my brand new 33" BFG AT's. Got rear ended a few months ago, and will be having my buddy build me a bumper similar to this one over the summer:

(And I also have the same fender flares that I will be installing along with the lift)

Here is the start of my install, had a JL G6600 under the rear seats, powering some Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1's, along with an Alumapro 5 farad cap.

Started off with a 10" custom Fi BL powered by an Infinity 1210a, was pretty nice until the surround tore. The box was the first one that I build and was pretty horrendous, so no pictures lol.

Next setup is my Lightning Audio Storm X2.H10.V4 Neo, powered by a Lightning Audio Storm X1.2000.1D:

In that pic, the 4 gauge went to the cap, the G6600, and my Infinity 1210a. Now I have a 1/0 run back to my 2000. And I will be ditching the cap soon, I now have 2 Stinger batts in back.

Back to the updates:

Here is the box build for the Neo, turned out muuuuuuuuuuuch better than my first one lol.

Then managed to find some awesome old school Eclipse subs (I am a huge Eclipse guy, I've got tons of Eclipse stuff laying around waiting for a 2nd car to be installed in), so I built a box for them.

Eclipse 88080DVC's next to my old 88120DVC

Also got rid of the G6600, for something with a bit more power, a MB Quart DSC4125. Working out well so far. I am currently on the lookout for some new comps/mids, might be going to try some pro audios, or maybe a bunch of those Aura NS6's. Haven't decided yet.

On to the new build, the only multi sub setup that I have had is this 4 8" setup, so I wanted to try something a bit bigger. So I will be building 6 custom 12's with TC9 motors. Gonna be using standard 12 spoke baskets, real nice Ground Zero 12" cones, oem TC Sounds 4 layer roundwound coils, along with 4 8" spiders and double leads. And if I can find some more of these QCA's, I will be using these on all of them, currently have 2. If anyone has an extra, hit me up, I want it lol.

I currently have a 2nd X1.2000.1D that was blown over at Tubenut's shop (Great guy, will definitely be using him again for any amp repair needs), and along with repairing it, he did a few mods to it, should be about 2500@1 ohm when all is said and done. So as soon as I get that back, I will be sending him my current 2000 so he can mod that, and then will be running them strapped on all 6 at 1.8 ohms (coils are D2.5's). I will probably be building a box for 2 of the 12's with a single 2000 on it, and then got this design for 4 of them:

And will have some TC Sounds decals on them too:

I am a huge Eclipse fan, and I have been searching for one of these to go with my DA7232 for over a year, and finally found one //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif An amp bridge for that series, here it is with my 3242 and 3122:

And here is some Audio Technix that I won over on another forum (full install pics coming soon //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif )

And I got a new deck, an Eclipse CD5030:

Pretty sweet unit, built in ipod and bluetooth. Scored it for a great deal on ebay the other day. It will be replacing my 55040, will be nice to have something a bit newer with ipod controls, bluetooth, usb, and steering wheel controls as well.

Out with the old:

In with the new:

IMG_3187.jpg

(The trim piece wasn't included for some reason, I have a new one in the mail)

Started with my deadener install! Used a mix of Audio Technix 60mm and RattleTrap 80mm. This is my first time working with any deadener, so feel free to give me any pointers that you guys have. Here is what I started off with:

IMG_3191.jpg

Took off the layer of stock coverage(it actually is pretty nice, I would like to reuse it on top of the deadener that I put on, anyone have any suggestions on how to re-secure it?):

IMG_3192.jpg

Then removed the plastic:

IMG_3193.jpg

Started the install on the door skin:

IMG_3196.jpg

Then to the drivers side rear door:

IMG_3201.jpg

IMG_3202.jpg

IMG_3204.jpg

Picked up some aluminum flashing to fill the large gaps in the doors as well. On to the progress:

IMG_3205.jpg

IMG_3211.jpg

IMG_3206.jpg

Got the passenger side started as well. Found a problematic rust spot in the inside of the door, underneath the caps on the door, so I ordered some POR-15 to fix it. The rest of the deadening on that side will have to wait a few days.

IMG_3215.jpg

And can't forget to deaden the license plate:

IMG_3220.jpg

A bit more work done:

IMG_3224.jpg

Also, scored a pretty sweet deal on a new set of components, so I will be getting rid of at least one set of my Perfects to test these out. Little hint, they are a 3 way set, not the Eclipse ones (even though I have 2 sets sitting next to me lol). Any guesses? And I just bought a set brand new for 1/2 what they are currently selling for on eBay Now to find one more set....

Anyways, spent a few more hours yesterday working on my deadener install, almost done now. Just am waiting on the POR-15 to get here, so I can get those rust spots taken care of and then finish the passenger side door. Every install needs some fuel:

IMG_3259.jpg

Yep, I'm from Milwaukee.

And the other fuel:

On to the real pics:

Here is the installed finished flashing panel:

IMG_3260.jpg

And here is how it started, double layered with silicon caulk:

IMG_3266.jpg

Used some GB duct seal to seal the corners:

Panel installed:

Final product:

IMG_3269.jpg

Got a bit more done today, almost finished now. Made some 1/2" mdf baffles, painted them with some black rubberized undercoating:

IMG_3270.jpg

Then used some of this GB duct seal:

IMG_3274.jpg

On the back of the baffles:

IMG_3271.jpg

And arounf the outside of the installed baffle:

IMG_3272.jpg

And with the speaker (Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1) installed:

IMG_3275.jpg

Just have to finish up the passenger side, whenever that POR-15 gets here.

All caught up!
