Benefits of a OPTIMA only?

Is there any "REAL" benefit to upgrading just the BATTERY?

For Example..with an Optima Battery..I realize it has alot of Features and can hold/produce power very well.But with a Stock alternator is it just another battery with the "capabilities" of a better one?

Will I get an Improvement with just a battery upgrade?

Yes, you will benefit. But not too much if the alt cant keep up.

When the amp is pulling more current out of your batt then the alt is trying to shove in, your batt will slowly be depleted.

The optima will prolly have higher cca's then your stock, thereby giving up that needed current a lil longer then your stocker in the above scenario.

If you give your alt some time (low volume play) to charge the batt back up (regardless of make) then the optima should be a nice imporvment.

Cool..Yea I am not sure I need a Alt..but my Truck is notorious for having some Electrical issues..Like if it sits for a week the battery drains....Little driving creates too little charge.

I have replaced the Stock alt and 3 Batteries in it's lifetime but little improvement. So I think the Optima will "atleast" create a more "ideal" electrical enviroment..especially with this systems install

Cool..Yea I am not sure I need a Alt..but my Truck is notorious for having some Electrical issues..Like if it sits for a week the battery drains....Little driving creates too little charge.I have replaced the Stock alt and 3 Batteries in it's lifetime but little improvement. yeesh, that aint kosher. yes, a yellow top will still help, but i hate to tell you, theres a bunch of other problems there....

I know...sad thing is I just got my whole electrical gremlins fixed..but for some odd reason the truck goes through batteries faster than your TV remote?

One strange thing that I know is related is that once in a while my Voltage meter goes up to like 17-18 in the red on the gauge (14 is normal)) and the Idiot light comes on..I need to turn on my headlights..A/C...Radio etc..to draw power until it drops..

AND NO IT'S NOT THE VOLTAGE REGULATOR????Strange?
