I decided I'm gonna get a beardie or 2!!!

1-Male or 2-Females

I would like to make a vivarium that is 1.5ft x 4ft x 2ft that will fit on my desk.

I want to do my own custom rocks with styrofoam and grout. I need to know if its safe or if I should try something else.

I also need some good ideas or pics. I would like help with picking out light fixtures or other junk that would be cool! This will be my first lizard in 12 years please throw out help, suggestions or tips!!!

Should I raise these after they are about a month old or should I wait to get to get them fresh out tha egg?

Post your pics if you have any!

go to bigalsonline.com for your lights ect zoomeds are awesome

as long as you coat the grout ( use sanded grout! ) with calcium enhanced sand for reptiles you will be fine //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i mix in a bunch of sand with it when i do them.

Bearded dragons are by far the best reptiles and pretty **** close to way better than dogs. Your enclosure may be to small for 2 dragons especially when they are fully grown.

Check this site out for alot of info on them:

Thanks Sic I was just wanting to make sure that I knew what grout to get. And I will be getting these as hatchlings so the cage will be big enough for at least 8months and thanks white dragon is that your enclosure for them?

No its the guys in the link above. He made that enclosure for less than $200. Pretty badass. Probably the nicest one Ive seen.

If you can train them. I had mine trained to just run around the house all day and it was liter trained. When it had to go to the bathroom or needed his heat lamp he would just go back to his enclosure.

I've thought about gettin one. I currently have a leopard gecko in a 55 gal aquarium that I may relocate to a 20 gal (55 gal is fly

too big for just one Leo) and make the 55 into a beardie place.

I have a 3 year old. I woulnt suggest a pair unless you want a clutch. Mine does not like company he gets pissed when he sees his shadow. We got him when he was 2 inches long. We keep him in a 260 Gallon Terrarium so he has lots of room to roam.He has never hibernated but is pretty inactive all winter.

My next reptile will be an iguana because they can get big (I saw a 5 foot one @ a show in raleigh)

BTW stay away from that calcium/sand crap it can lead to respitory issues just use carpet & dust the food w/ calcium/vitamins
