Who is getting a SMD DD-1.. I might but if somebody here is getting one I might wait for one to pop up in the for sale section. Also since the test tones it uses are on a disk what about the Ipod only people? Are they the same tones as any other test track. I know I can burn it to the ipod but its going to loss clarity. And I doupt its going to be on itunes.

Not too up on MP3s cuz I don't like the sound quality of any of them, IPODs are supposed to sound good though and dont they have an aac lossless that they can play or something like that if you can convert the files.

I dont care about competing bro, I like the ipod only deal. It makes everything easier. I dont think I will ever go back to CDs. Just hook it up in the glove box and go.

already got my pre-order in... alot cheaper than a good o-scope, and alot easier to use...

and all you need is just test tones.... just download the test tones to your ipod

Thats good to know.. It is a ton cheaper and easier then a o-scope. And all the Bass Mekanik CDs are on Itunes so its good to go.

Did they give a estimated ship date on the pre-order, I know its release is the 1st but I would imagine they are already or close to back order

from what i've been told my ship date is supposed to be in between the 1st-5th.... not sure about their back order quantity... i think thats why their doing pre-orders tho

i'll prolly put it on a t-lab before and after... all depends on if i get too bored, and decide to play with my new toy before i can get ahold of a t-lab, lol

pulse car audio has already done t-lab tests with it tho... and even on a system that was previously set with an o-scope, they still had a gain of a db or two (cant remember exact numbers)

that would actually make everything so much easier. im always struggling with the gains and doing it by ear *****. im definitely going to invest in something like this.

Its the cheapest way to gain a DB, it seens like everybody that uses one makes that gain

I may think of getting one too, but no deck that I know of can play AAC Lossless, except the DEX99.
