BB warranty

If you are buying a laptop, I wouldn't purchase the warranty from BB itself.

Say you have a cracked screen, they will fix it but then your warranty is void.

Do what I did and buy the extended warranty through the company itself.

I have a HP laptop and I bought the warranty just about 10 months after I had the laptop so the 1 year doesn't expire, then they added 2 additional years. They even replaced my whole laptop once and I still have warranty //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif (Accidental Warranty)

did you not read my post?

my screen has crakced twice and the warranty is still there

People used to also say that just before their warranty ran out they could replace what the originally bought with new product. When I worked at BBY they had meetings over misrepresentation of said plans, again read the warranty and the fine print. What is said person to person does not mean nearly as much as what the warranty actually says.

Best buy is an authorized dealer/repairer for everything they sell, them covering anytihng under warranty will not void the warranty.

Also they do offer accidental damage plans on their laptops, where they cover anything. I think that are worth it, true story here, bought a laptop and year an a half ago, due to technology it was old so i threw it out my 2nd story window and broke the living shit out of it.

Took it back, told them i dropped it out the window, they looked it up and ended up replacing the laptop that day instore with a laptop of the same value of mine. I def came out on top of that one.

Also i buy the shit out of the replacement plans for like video game controllers, ill get pissed and throw one at a wall, it will semibreak and ill go trade it in for a new one.

DONT buy the BB warranty. I have had MANY customers come into the shop and say it was covered under BB warranty and they got out of actually working on it (like most warranties). Best warranties are through the manufacturers, and they tned to be cheaper. Dell business class machines have great warranties

I always get the warrenty on expensive items I buy from best buy, My T.V. that I bought about 3 years ago is sitll under warranty for another year. I got the warranty for xbox and it broke about 11 months after buying and they replaced it for free and since they were cheaper I got 50 bucks back.

dude at bb told me that i could throw my laptop against a wall and bring it back and they would give me a new one if i had that, i don't know how true that is however.
Only thing the accidental warranty through BB doesnt cover is completely submerging the laptop, aka throw it in a pool/pond/ whatever. So yes that is covered //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I would read the paper the warranty is printed on. Then also look to see what the manufacturer offers

I'm an autotech at best buy and purchase GeekSquad Black Tie on all my products. I've found through customer and personal experience that they usually end up paying for themself and then some.
