im making the switch from kinetik to xspower..kinetik doesnt have a batt that will fit unfer the hood of my 03 ford explorer..their all 8 inches high..and i cant close my hood even with the 1800 in the front..i found the xspower 6500 thats 6 inches high and pretty big it will fit, but can i run that and a kinetik 2400 in the back in the meantime until i get a 3100

Want to know if you can run a battery under the hood and in the rear, Yes

Run two different batteries, Yes

Or are you asking if you can just run the rear batery tell you get XS for front? Yes

There really wouldn't be any advantages, I would upgrade all XS Power when you get the chance to.

Awww MAN... are you serious? An HC1800 won't fit under the hood?

I have a 2002 Ford Explorer SportTrac (which should be identical to your Explorer in the front).

My current battery is 7.5"H x 12"L x 7.5"W. The only thing I saw and questions was that 8" height on that HC1800.

Are you absolutely certain it won't fit!?!?!???

not with the posts on top..unless i get adapters to go on the side..but i dont know what the cons would be..i could also take out the battery tray and trim it down
