Right now im going to be running 6k to the subs and 1.5k to tweets and mids, total would be around 7k, i got a red top under the hood and a stock alternator. my question is, what model of XS batteries should i get and how many? and what type of HO alternator should i purchase? or should i get the dual bracket with a 300 amp alt with my stock still on there? any help would be amazing

Not to dog you, but running that much power, you really should know what you're doing. You should know what you are drawing with those amps, or atleast the potential, and what kind of power you will need to purchase. Without knowing the amp models or what they are fused at, it's hard to say exactly. Find the info on your amps, and do the math:

determining amperage draw [Part 2] - Realm of Excursion

From there you can see how much you will need.

1. Check with Tenney Alternators. Hes making a nma efor himself right now and is offering the best deal ever on a HO alt. Free Lifetime Warranty, Free Powdercoating, Free SHipping. Oh yea, did I say that theres a Lifetime warranty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2. Check all battery options first. Sams Club, Costco, Sears. All of these places have 100ah agm batteries for around 100-150 bucks. Hell i just picked up 2 110ah Duracell D31AGM (deep cycle marine agm) for 80 bucks each on sale!!!!

alright really will look into it, i know i needed the HO alternator with this set up, just wasnt sure as to if one would do the trick or if im in need of two, its the first big power hungry system im going to be setting up.

what car or truck.you'll need 2 alts at least an amp that size can draw up to 750 amps of power and you'll need 4 d 3100's to have a stable setup, with at least 4 -6 runs of power and ground 0 gauge wire

he will NOT be getting 6kw out of that amp. How come nobody ever takes imp rise into consideration when making recommendations on electrical??????

single 270-300a alt and 3-4 G31 batts would do fine. Duracell AGM at sam's club is hard to beat for the $$$...

need atleast 3. at least

i wouldnt touch a tenny alt. do some research, you wont find much good info about them.
I have only seen 1 person bashing tenney and that was a EA nuthugger. WHo else has been disssapointed?? I mean seriously, tenney offers some of the best things i look for in anything i buy.

1. Lifetime warranty.

SHould i kleep going??

2, Powdercopating

3. Free shipping

4. Best prices in the buisness

5. ALts that are undwerrated (he rates the alts at about 15-20 less than they acrtually put out.

My 300a does around 320

Ive done my research amigop, trhats why i chose tenney. I would imagine everyone who has bought from himn did their research as well. What we all determined was that alot of "other alt compaines" inflated theier prices to make a bigger profit.

There's probably a reason why they are cheap. And lifetime warranty doesn't mean anything if you have to replace it all the time.

Op don't cheap out on your alternator.
