35 isn't bad. It also depends on what you listen to. I listen to hop hop with a lot of low bass so I need my subs to dig low with authority. Mine is tuned to 33 and has trouble digging low sometimes. I wish I woulda went with a lower tuning, but I'm happy with it. I'm not sure on there prices to build/ship to you. You can even search on google for custom sub enclosure builders, Starr enclosures is good I've heard, PWK is another, The Box Guy. There's a few. But your box might be fine for you.

I would look into some Sundown Audio SA-12s ($200 a piece) then slap them in a 4 Cubic foot box tuned in the low 30s and you'll be very satisfied. However, the HDS212/312 are also great. As well as several others. What vehicle are you running? If your stock alternator and battery are real small 1200 Watts RMS+ might be rough.

im running a 06 sonata LX. there is minimal dimming when running at around 1000 RMS.

I was running a pair of *** 10"s (V1) on 2kw+/- for a couple years. 2.5ft^3 @ 34hz via single 6" aero. I did resurround mine with butyl rubber surrounds as the foam ripped after about a year. I've had a lot of different setups, high end brands, 6kw+ rms, 18"s, 15"s, etc... I can honestly say those 10"s, on 2kw, in that box was one of my louder setups.

I run the same amp now but on a ZV418 and I miss those 10"s. Might be my box (5.5ft @ 34 via 10" octoport) but the 10"s hit harder and we're definitely louder. Funniest part about that is one of the leads broke and the other sub was blown. Which I didn't find out until after I removed the setup... So I had one coil on one sub actually working and I liked it better than my ZV418 I have now...

Thats awesome man. I love hearing about sleeper setups. That david vs goliath stuff is awesome.

i also just realized i may have ran fatter wire to my amp but forgot all about running fatter battery ground, battery to alt, nd engine ground! lol i'm a newb.

idk how to upgrade any of those either

Im running a pair of SQ HDS3 10s DVC2ohms,on an old Mmats @1500rms @2 ohms in a 99 Honda CRV with stock alt and two Orileys AGM batt with Stock alt,with big three and LED Bypass in 4CuFt @32htz and they Slamm pretty Nasty! Running 4 AB XFL DVC4ohm 12s in the truck on two AB 4480.1D amps @1ohm ea with 2.06 per chamber close to 33 htz ea,on 255amp alt big 5,and 3 extra batts,and she slamms nicely too.Both subs get down nicely when you like and sound pretty clean/musical as well.Those are some Great tens for the money. Try the big three and two batts before getting into spending money on an alt.At 1k with stock alt,having dimming issues, you just may need to get that stock batt outof there and get a good AGM batt/maybe two,and get the big 3 done. My neighbor is running the AB 2680.1d @1 ohm with the AB VFL 150.4 FR on his mids and highs with a pair of AB XFL 10s @2.4cuft per sub at 32 HTZ in an Xcab chevy with 1 Orileys agm batt and big three with almost no dimming until tilting very vague,and slamms like hell.He will be adding one more batt to compensate for this.Ill be serving justice on the 4 12s in a wall by this summer with one 4480,1d on ea sub. We also put an XFL 12 DVC2 ohm on the 2680.1d @1 ohm in that truck in a 2.6cu ft box @ 32 htz and she was pretty nasty/yet clean and quite impressive.Im enjoying my HDs 10s atm/a bit satisfied till I pick up another XFL 12 DVC2 to place with the other in the CRV,But The HDs are really beating my ride to hell.Cant imagine the xfls in there??
