Not sure which one this is, there is the Elabor8 and the Excruci8. The Elabor8 is the lower model and the other is the upper

Well I have have heard A DD1508, JL 8w7's, and Sundown E8's

DD:

Loud and hit the lows nicely, but sounded a little sloppy. Took power nicely.

JL 8W7:

Clean sound and pretty **** loud. A little less loud then My 15" Re "Destroyer", metered .3db lower then my 15"

Sundown:

Probably as clean as the JL's but two are louder then the DD. Takes power great. Im giving mine over double their RMS and they take it like a champ.

These are not cheap, I heard some figures but I am not going to say in case they are wrong. These things are little monsters, if I mess with 8's again it will be with these, and whenever Pap's get theirs done I would like to try it out. To many people have the 1508's:crap:

there are some coming out and some in the works but only a few may be close to standing up to the DD

IMO... most people looking for 8s want a less expensive driver with a shallow depth - this is why I designed the E8 the way I did.

The market for drivers like the 1508 is much smaller... maybe one day I'll build a bigger 8 in that category.
