I don't think it's going to charge correctly on a 14.8v alternator. Batteries charge through differences in voltage from the charging source to the destination. A lower voltage output from your alternator than the battery would be bad shit...lol, would the battery try to dump current into the alternator? Jeez. Dunno man, but i wouldn't **** with it.

You'd still have the same problem with voltage differences. I expect a 16v battery needs to see over 18v to be charged...probably around 20v. under 20 v.. i wouldnt go over 19 actually but you would be right about the cars electrical

Id watch out for the autos computer burnin up. The dodge dealer told me that anything over 16volts would fry the cpu on my neon.

turbostart use to make a 3-post 16 volt battery,thats what you would want,a 12 volt post for your vehicle and a 16 volt post for your audio,or you could add an Irragi alternator 4volt battery along with your 12 volt battery and there ya go 16 volts.just so happens i have a 4 volt battery i'm selling,lol.if your interested give me a yell
