Batcap 8400 vs 4 Kinetik 2400s

obviously there is a little price gap, but i can get the batcap for a little cheaper and want to know are they even close or would the 4 kinetiks be alot better.

im running 2 40.1s and want to know if it will be able to dish out the power the 40.1s need.

i think the 8400 is a good bit stronger than the 4 2400s.....but not the best batt for daily

Those 8400's are supposed to be killer. The guy that sells Batcaps on ebay (Rick) runs 8kW off one 8400. I'm sure they probably take a dump on the Kinetiks for SPL.

The 8400 is a great battery, but it wont support 2 40.1s for daily without a strong charging system. What ohm are you running and what type alts?

Ask on the USACI forums but I seen in person a few guys jump up over 1 db switching out from a 16v batt cap 8400 to a 17.7 moded Kinetik bank at 2005 united finals..the banks as you probably know were made from 4 2400's. From people i know who ran the multicells they say they are anywhere from 25-30% better than an NSB90 depending on the multicell. I also talked to a few of the DB Drive guys that seasons before that ran batcap and switched to kinetik.

I spoke to Ray at Batcaps about 2 days ago on a similiar topic. He said the 8400 was strictly a comp bat. He said these bats were made for demo cars and burps. If you use them for daily use they will overheat!!!
