the auction was for local pickup only but after talking with him i decided that i would travel within MY state to meet him but since he refused to give me any information i could use, i had to decline to drive. He actually just threatened me right thru ebay's messaging system, it says that he has my home address and that he'll be seeing me very soon and that i better be prepared for what i got coming to me.

Your listing stated that the item was for local pickup only - what's he going to tell eBay if he were to report you? That after you specified that it was a local pickup only item that you refused to ship it? Refused to bring it to him? The fact that he refused to give you the requested information after asking for it several times sounds extremely fishy to me...like maybe he planned on meeting you and simply stealing the sub or something. At this stage in the game all I would tell him is that after further consideration and being mindful of your own personal safety you're going to have to stick to the details very plainly laid out in your listing - local pickup (though that 'willing to drive up to 75 miles' bit may get a bit sticky for you later on) only and you'll be happy to meet him in a public place in your own town (the suggestion about the police station isn't a bad idea)

Absolutely it is. Which is why I suggested that the message be kept for future reference if he still has it in his 'My Messages' section of his 'My eBay.'

In this day and age with all the psychos wandering around it likely is a better idea to be a bit overly cautious rather than not.

Instead of doing the halfway thing, you can tell him the offer is still open (if you're trying to get your merchandise sold) but he's gonna have to come all the way.

Well. I would have done the same thing that you did bud. You told him on more than a few times where to meet and he wouldnt give you a concrete place. So I wouldnt sweat it and just **** up the 19 dollar transaction and try and resell it to someone worth while.

Keep that messege where he threatened you. If he does come, then call the cops and show them that and you could press charges on the SOB. Then he is up shit creek with no paddle. Good luck man!

Yeah, but you guys set your river on fire! Cleveland sucks. Though bad pro sports franchises are better than none like we have in Oregon, except for the ****-*** Jailblazers. As for the ebay thing I would have done what you did, and if he still wants to do the deal- the cop shop is a decent idea. I'd have told him to blow and relisted the thing already.

well i can't relist the item yet because we have an open dispute. I notified ebay about his threats and they haven't even acknowledged the message i sent. I offered to comp[lete the transaction with him but regressed to my former offer of 75 miles. I said i would only deliver within ohio anyways because i have an Ohio CCW permit and i'll just jump out of the cutty with my Glock 31 in my shoulder holster and see what he thinks about that. Of course tho-he refused to complete the transaction after i offered it a second time.

**** this whole situation is pretty messed up, but the chances of him coming to ur house over nothing, because he hasnt lost money etc, is very slim, so u have nothing to worry. Hed get schooled anyways
