Basslink or Bazooka!

I want to add some cheap and easy bass to my new 08 silverado. I'm keeping the factory speakers and head unit. What is the cheapest and easiest way to help the low end out a bit? I want to do the install my self since it is such a cheap set up so I'd also like to know what I need to connect the powered sub to my stereo.

well, if those are you only two options, go with the basslink.....and you just hook it up to your stereos RCA outs in the back, preferably a sub out, but if not the others will work fine.....

What would you suggest then? I need something small that will fit under the ext. cab seat. I could buy a custom fit box, but those are out of my price range because if I'm gonna spend that much on a box I will need two 10"s and amp and a new head unit and speakers

8 inch bazooka tube or 2 would fit and should have a high level input with instructions to hook it up if you buy new

I've installed a basslink in a friend's '07 Silverado and I was actually pretty impressed with it. Fits perfectly under the rear seat and comes with everything that you need except power wire to install it. A basic 8ga power kit is all you need there. You simply tap into the speaker wires behind the factory deck and that provides both signal and the remote on for the built in amp.

I've owned both and they are both good. The bazooka has a bit more output, but then again that is a 12" bazooka tube vs the old round basslink. Either one should make you happy.

Was his an extended cab or crew? I don't see how the basslink will even fit unless I do some serious stuffing.

oh didn't see that.....well then, you also need to get a line output converter so you can run the RCA cables to your factory headunit.
