bass setting on viper 1200.1

besides the usual gain setting there

is also a bass boost 0-18db knob...

what does that do and where should

i set it...

i think most ppl on here would agree that you should use a very little or not at all--some ppl refer to that knob as the subwoofer destroy knob. i've used my remote knob before but only because i burn lots of cd's and sometimes the songs lack the bass that others do. but use at your own risk dude.

its not an external knob though... i have one of those too... but

i dont have it hooked up... i even refer to it as the remote speaker

blower...

this is an actual knob on the amp itself...

there is

gain. phase. subsonic. frequency and this bass adjustment knob...

It is a bass boost at a certain frequency. Use it wrong and it will destroy your subs, use it right and it wont. And the remote is nothign but an extended gain, if you have the remote all the way up, it will be like having your gain whereit is right now without the remote, if you have the remote half way up, it will be half of where your gain is right now. Get it?
