Bass remotes?

Never had a amp with one so my question is the bass remote goes from 0-18...

Now lets say i have my amp set on +3 and remote turned to 0. When i turn the bass up on the remote does it add to the Db gain or does it just over ride it and start at what i set it on?

I believe it adds to the DB gain. What you need to do is set the remote to MAX. Then set your gains all over again. So when you use the remote, it is functioning as a volume control for your sub.

x2. use it as a volume control for the amp and not a "bass boost" which it is.
