i'm an idiot. built a new box for a single type R, ported, to replace the 2 type R's sealed i had before. my electrical system couldn't handle the ppi pc2350 and i don't have enough time to get an alty, so i figured i could probably get louder porting 1 R and running my amp at 8 ohms. sounded like a good idea. still getting big voltage drops, although not as severe. thought it would be better than it is. i fvcked up designing my box. used round ports this time, instead of just going slotted. didn't make the g0dd@amn ports long enough. my tuning ended up being about 45 hz. alot higher than i wanted. i broke my distribution block. i ended up making one tonight out of an empty drill bit case, which is ugly as fvck. getting very frustrated that i can't get rid of my ground loop. spent hours yesterday tinkering with it. ended up using an isolator, which i hate. anyway. i will be there sunday. never even attended any kind of comp before, so i'll probably be lost.
