Alright, I know this type of thread may already be on here but Im gonna post it anyways so save the harsh posts please... anyways.. i want to know what the secrets are to winning bassrace. Is it easier with an equalizer or bass nob or just by adjusting the stereo volume. i would think it takes more than just adjusting the volume... any tips?

not really the objective. depending what class your in. its a 30 second average. you have to hold to the tenth as long as possible. if youre in the 130-139.9 class whoever can hold 139.9 or as close to it as long as possible wins. start late and its hard ot comeback.

i adjusted my volume knob last time, but i might try my gain knob this weekend if i run a lower class. im ran the 149.9 class and can only bassrace a 148 or so lol, so i went all out. but if i were to do the 139.9, i might try the gain knob because it seems real precise with a steady hand. i have the PAC LC-1

honestly, being too loud can make it harder.

i know some guys tune their system to do little more than the target for their class. ..

know your system.

Like i know my pioneer h/u gains 2 db from 0 to 28 on the volume then from 29-58 it gains 1 db, then from 59-63 it goes back to 2db gains. so i keep the volume in that 29-58 range the whole run to keep my score more consistent.

Main thing is practice until you grasp how the meter works.

I know what bass race is.... that wasnt the ? the question was what are the ways to win... like i asked in the first post.. do you use a bass nob or just adjust the volume... that kind of stuff.. something to get that extra .1 db ...

Thank you.. lol. someone who finally answered me the way i was looking for... so basically i just need to see what my h/u will add each turn of the dial.. basically what you said above...would a bass nob also be more helpful??
