Bass louder when door/windows open

I've noticed the same effect, but I never just put the passenger window down. I noticed it got louder when I either cracked both windows or put them both half way/all the way down, so I just attributed it to both windows.

Didn't know you could get the same effect depending on where you're sitting via just one window.

My truck is the same way. It seems to pick up way more on the low end with windows down. NG definatly hit the nail on the head with the opposite window/door open to get loud.

yeah i do that when people ask to get a listen. i'd have them sit in the passenger leaving the window up and door closed while on the drivers side i just leave the door wide open.

in my car there is an output and a noticable difference in flex when i have my windows rolled down.

yep.

What works best is car dependent. Different cars pressurize differently. When I burp my truck I roll the window all the way up and crack the door on the side with the sub. However, on the opposite side I keep the door shut but the window is rolled all the way down. This is the best approach that I've found so far for both SPL and keeping the waves clean on the o-scope.

so wuts the take on keeping all the windows up and the sunroof open?
not really a noticeable difference. less flex than with windows down.

in my hatch i get better sq with everything sealed up, but louder with windows down. mix of both with passenger window half way down.

i woner wut i should do at my next sound comp this weekend. im assuming craking the driver window since the meter will be on the passenger side right? wut if u have a four door?

Where will the meter be placed? What kind of car? I can make an educated guess for you if I have experience with a car like yours.
