bass knob not workin

Hello I have a rockford t1000.1 bd works fine but when i turn the knob it doesn,t work bass stays at same level lights on the knob are on any input thanks.

are you using the correct 3-pair cable? or just a cheapie phone cord? also, what is the model/year of the t1000.1bd? the first bigger ones can use an older gain knob, but the newer ones need a punchbass knob/dual knob, and i don't know how far back the newer knobs can go either....

It's the older big one and I'm using the original cable and knob that came with it when I bought it

what is the amp gain set at? try (while the amp is off) unplugging the knob on both ends and checking the pins. try turning the gain up on the amp.
