Bass cuts off

Everytime i pull into the driveway when i get home and put the car in park, my subwoofers cut out. then after like 10 seconds, they turn back on, as if the battery needed to "convert" to being in park to support the subwoofers.

I'm pretty sure this is the battery right?

If u guys say it is, ima try and talk my dad into gettin a yellow top battery or something. Are these the best? thats all i hear anyone talk about, or is there somethign better for cheaper?

I have a 1999 Lexus RX300, and the alternator is whatever comes stock.

EDIT: It never used to do this when i first bought my system, so i'm thinking me beating my battery has just caused it to lose some of its power or something.

Well my first thought was that the voltage dropped real low when you pulled in your driveway due to a low RPM but that 500/1 can run with 11 Volts if need-be, so I'm not sure what your problem is. Could be some kind of wiring issue somewhere.

how olds ure battery? easy to try a different (new) one and see if?

i dont think its wiring, because it only happens when i put it in park.

I could probably take a video of whats happening, but it would be in phone video format, so you would need a converter. (someone told me quicktime can convert the files, but i do not recommend quicktime. eats up system resourses)

if u have a micro SD card, u can take the file, and put it on your phone and watch it i guess lol.

As you can see from my Sig, my 97 BMW has about the same set-up as you and our alternators are probably about the same size and I have no issues.

lol i just noticed we have similar set ups.

However, my battery is just a lexus battery, and not really made for handling systems lol, which is why i think its the battery. I think that the amp detects a drop in power when i put it in park, due to my rpm's going down and being in park, and then the amp and battery adjust to being in park and the subs turn back on. That's just a guess, idk if any of that makes sense lol.

im calling voltage drop. it will never hurt you to upgrade to a bigger better battery so i would upgrade and see if that solves your problem. do you have a voltage meter on your dash? if so watch that and look and see what happens when you put it and park and if it drops significantly. also if you chose to go get a new battery have them test your alternator and see if that is still good. just another precaution to take.

i didnt say it was better, but that would jsut be my first choice. read over the specs and all the stuff on there site and you will like what you see
