Bass boost or gain?

May be best to look into getting a ported enclosure made for your sub..would be my recommendation, and possibly more power/better rated amplifier in the near future..

Not enough room for a ported enclosure in my car. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif & if I went with more power it would be overpowering the little 10 inch sub even more than I already am.(50 extra watts) and I am using an alpine mrp-m1000 amp.

It matches your head units preout voltage. Min is .2v Max is something like 6v. If you have 4v preouts which side do you think that would be?

You would be a perfect candidate for a passive set up. With the space you have, you could easily do a single 10" passive, or 2 8" passives to the sub you have..or do 1 SA8v2, or Treo SSI 8 with 2 10" passives just by simply redoing your baffle.
