Lol well no shit, you got 6 sub amps! BTW, how loud is your setup?Ive never really been a bass knob fan.....I use a maxx link to control all my amp settings.
It's basically like the gain you can control from the driver's seat. It will only max out at the level the amp gain is set on the amp.Remote Level knob. Is that different from Bass Boost? My amps a RF T4000. I have it plugged in but always left it turned all the way down.
Sealed on the dash wired at 2 ohms I did a 156.2.......I only had 4 powermaster 3100D 12V batts. Im steppin up my game and puttin 11 16V kinetik batts in there and gonna wire everything to .5 ohm so who knos wut it will do when spring time rolls around. It's my daily driver so it's really meant for playing music.......only tuned to 36 hz.Lol well no shit, you got 6 sub amps! BTW, how loud is your setup?
So I have the gain set on the amp with the remote all the way down, so should I just leave it down or is it safe to turn up a little? It's basically like the gain you can control from the driver's seat. It will only max out at the level the amp gain is set on the amp.
Good shit, you should be seeing 158ish in the spring time. Mine's a daily driver as well. My goal is a 158ish as well.Sealed on the dash wired at 2 ohms I did a 156.2.......I only had 4 powermaster 3100D 12V batts. You're basically not pushing your subs at all. Turning up the bass knob is totally ok...if your amp is set properly and not sending a clipped signal to the subs.So I have the gain set on the amp with the remote all the way down, so should I just leave it down or is it safe to turn up a little?
yeah, mite put some dynamat on the roof and in the doors. Roof rattles the worst.....cracked my paint in a couple spots. I wasn't too happy. Maybe I will see u at SBN if I go....Good shit, you should be seeing 158ish in the spring time. Mine's a daily driver as well. My goal is a 158ish as well.
you will want to set the gain with the bass knob all the way up (and your HU volume at whatever max level you want it at, not max on the HU cuz that could cause clipping to)....zero the gain out on the amp, put your bass knob to max....then adjust your gain from there...that way when you crank it up and turn the bass knob all the way up you know that you set it to a safe gain and won't blow the amp/subs....if you set your gain with the bass knob at zero then when you turn the bass knob up you might cause some damage. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gifSo I have the gain set on the amp with the remote all the way down, so should I just leave it down or is it safe to turn up a little?
Alritey, I'll take it easy on turning it up and see how it sounds. Thanks. You're basically not pushing your subs at all. Turning up the bass knob is totally ok...if your amp is set properly and not sending a clipped signal to the subs.
That's what I was thinkin. Def a good idea. I've already got Second Skin SPL tiles for sound deadening. Mines the same way, low notes use to sound like ass b4 the sound deadening.yeah, mite put some dynamat on the roof and in the doors. Roof rattles the worst.....cracked my paint in a couple spots. yeah Im gonna try to go. Like a 13 or 14 hour trip for me, so we will see.....but like you said the low notes dont sound 2 good right now so I'm sure once I put a few sheets of dynamat on the roof and the doors it will make a big improvement.Def a good idea. I'll be there if you go, I hope you go. I'd love to hear your setup in person.
It's like 3-4 hours for me! Def do that, you'll love the lows even more afterwards. Sounds soo much better without all the ratting, plus it adds more db's.yeah Im gonna try to go.
