these are basically capasitors but i dont fully understand how to connect them to my friends speakers......i have a pair as in 2 of the things and the guy said that that was enough for his 2 speakers.....do i just hook one end to negative and one to positive and just use electrical tape?

just insert it in the positive line of the speaker wire before the speaker.

oh, as for actually putting it in the line, cut the line, strip it, then use a butt connector on each end of the capacitor to connect it to the wire.
