Bass blockers, Amp Install kits, etc. What should I get with this setup?

I have two questions. First, the setup I am about to install in my Camry.

*** Money was an issue, so please let's not let this tune into a "You should of got this" thread. Thanks. ***

Head Unit: JVC KD-HDR1 MP3/HD Tuner (I know, not the best in the world. I really wanted HD, though.)

Dash Speakers: Pioneer 2-Way Car Speaker TS-G1040R 4"

Rear Speakers: Pioneer 2-Way Car Speaker TS-G1340R 5-1/4"

Subs: 2 12" Rockford Fosgate P3

Amp: MA Audio HK1000D Amp

1. Should I automatically start looking for another amp or are MA Audio Amplifiers not that bad?

2. I was wondering if these bass blockers would be sufficient for my setup or would I need something better?

These would be for the 5 1/4"

These would be for the 4"

Thanks everyone!

MA audio makes some pretty decent stuff for the money. The model of your amp would be helpful. So would the size of the speaker. I would hook up the speakers without the bass blockers to see how they sound first. Assuming you are running them off of the headunit and don't turn the bass adjustment up to much, they should sound pretty good. I usually keep my bass in the negatives or close to zero depending on the situation, which would work very well for you to. Good luck and I'm sure someone will tell you more about your equipment choices:laugh:

Thanks for your input. They are 12 inch subs. My fault for not including that. I edited it.

Also, this is a picture of the amp. I still don't have a model number yet. I should have one in a few days.

You will not need bass blockers at all, the coaxials you got, have a bass blocker to the tweeter already (every coaxial does), the only reason you would need it, was if you didn't want any bass going to the midbass 'woofers' on the coax, which I'm sure you do want.

Those are called crossovers

Um I wouldn't want those 4in dash speakers playing below 150hz, 200hz would be safer. The 5 1/4's should be fine down to 100-80hz.

The bass blockers you linked to have too high a crossover frequency and too weak a slope. You'll have some verrrrryyy weak midbass.

Personally I would save up some cash for a 4ch amp with some on board crossovers (and more importantly more power).

Good luck
