Just start installing stuff until something burns up. Take a pic of what burned up, poast it on here...and you'll find out real quick what you did wrong.

just anything in general from..how to hook up your fuse to the battery..what wires to use..where they go..all the way to the amp and and where all the speaker wire goes how to wire the speakers to the amp..how to wire down ohms and all that good stuff. and maybe some stuff about getting behind the cd player and replacing it with a new one..hooking up rca cables. pretty much everything thats involved.

If you're serious, if I were you id get in touch with some local MECA/USACi competitors. Usually they're willing to help out a newb since if they're at the point of actively competiting then they've probably done and seen it all and would be willing to teach you.
And im being 100% honest here. If I was anywhere near there id be more than happy to show you plenty. Just ask around, ive even driven 50 miles on my dime just to help someone out.
