I have heard the spiral is pretty good. But I believe the jasper is calibrated for a 1/8" straight cut bit (maybe 1/4") and i dont know how thick the spirals are, but i always just use a straight cut. Always does fine for me, just have to but new bits every so often.

Senor pescado is right. I use a BOSCH straight 1/4 bit with my jasper. Works flawlessly.

Yea i just looked at homedepots website, i must use a 1/4" straight bit, they have a 1/4" spiral I may see if I can get where I work, give it a try and see how it goes.

That shop makes me jealous. Instead of hand rounding, use a round-over bit on a table router or a hand router.

Probably a GOOD thing you practiced making a box first, you can only get better. (no burns, router rounded edges, etc.)

Nice lookin shop, but get a good fence on that table saw.
