I know people are not to fond of Audiobahn on this website but has anybody check the A8000T prices on ebay lately. 800 RMS at 2 ohm for a little over 100$. My cousin just got one for his l7 and is about to get another one. Is it just me or is this a very good buy?

Stay away from them...They dont do anywhere near rated power. Trust me I had a friend who owned one and I have personal experience with it...HORRIBLE AMP

yeah man. sounds dumb but i have researched it and since they are so close there isnt any audible noise cancellation or any problems with it. you can ask my cuzzin, them shits pound. but thats beside the fact, before i get another a8000t what is wrong with them?

I was going to buy that amp but never mind. What would you guys recomend for a type r 12". I was thinking the alpine mrd-??? 600rms at 2 ohm.

I've got 600w @ 2 Ohms RMS for under $150/shipped. (less than you'd pay for that Alpine, I'd wager)

I'm not entirely certain why Kenwood incorporated that feature in those year model eXcelon amps either but they did. (all the eXcelon amps in that model year had it) All I know is it works as it is advertised to so outside of that I've never really cared. It does provide a bit of "Wow!" factor for true n00bs to see that door slide on its own and expose the various adjustments found underneath.

build a new box for the L7 and ditch the L5. give the L double the power, and itl be happy
