**Bamaboy's OPERATION Pull Out Wall, Put Other Subs in...4 12's...DC...RF**

yeah 6" aeros
floor wasnt hard, i wanted something i could cut up and screw into, fits perfect in there, i have risers under it to give amps room and to sit level
Nice I am using 3 6" aeros as well //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Your putting the amp under all that? You not worried about it getting to hot?

what happen to v1?
just the 2 highs amps and 3sixty, there are fans down there, never had a problem before
lol My other account got banned when the mods went crazy about a 2 weeks ago.

Does your Explorer flex bad? I know you got an XLT for some reason I think the XLT are built stronger then the XLS (Which is what I have) cause everything breaks and flexes to hell on my truck. I am pretty sure I am losing about 1.5db through my roof.

photobucket link of build, **** that took a while

http://s167.photobucket.com/albums/u146/bamaboy1234/DC%20Build/

dont have any pics but when we did the wall we pulled the headliner and worked on it with dynamat and went to the place where i got the port plug and had them cut me a .5" sheet of memory foam like on beds, we glued it to the roof and its solid as a rock now, i was doubting it but it worked perfect, just cut it to fill in all the spaces and used spray adhesive

I need to do that false floor too.

And i know i broke a roof brace on mine....right behind the roof mounted center console....im just scared to take the headliner off and face it ha.

It kills my lows if i have the windows down...sucks, i just hear stuff moving and no bass really.

lol Same here.

My roof rattling actually makes the bass sound louder lol

flares out to 8" and overall diameter is about 9.25"

they are pretty big

i had a problem before with my roof, it would pretty much cancel any bass out at 37/38hz, notes there would be garbage, im not sure if it my pad will fix it because when i did it the wall went in, it it sounded fine then, but going back to subs up we'll see how it fares

there are not braces connected up there iirc, the bars go across and sandwiched between them and the roof are like expanding foam pieces, so they arnt welded up there, i used extra expanding foam and filled some gaps

port plug i had custom cut locally at a foam place, didnt find any 6" ones online, we do some business with the people and i got it cheap, like 2-3$, 32hz and 38hz tuning

got it looking secsy with some paint...mmmm

I need to know the name of the place you got this done and how much it would probably normally be? Also, I assume the outer diameter of the plug is slightly larger than the tube to maintain a tight fit. What diameter did you go with to maintain the tight fit? Did you or Rodney come up with this design and who exactly is doing all the work?

thats what im thinking cuz my xlt escape u can hear it rattle a little but not like yours. but i think it might be the box or somthing also i got a box now thats 8.5 at 37hz and i can hear more rattles but it doesnt meter as long im gonna put some blocks in it today and try to get it to 8cubes at 38hz

fpi: foam product industries, its over by the fedex hub in gunter, small building in one of the multi unit places, probably could get it decently cheap if ordering multi, i saw 3-5$ prolly

im gonna say 6 1/4 OD, i took the tube in and we measured it and such, it fits good in there, shouldnt have any problems

this was my idea, gonna see how good it works, a few HT sub companies like svs use it to change tuning

im doing all the work, he cut the brace and some stuff for me early in, but for the most part its me

Rodny is actually gone, he went to work at the same place Brian and Drawdy went to, he left about 2 weeks ago and i left last week, they lost all the best people:p:

working on it right now, its hot as hell outside:mad:
