ok guys... a short update on the build... still waiting on parts... but here's where it stand for now

the 4 t1000 15's fell through, so i just picked up 2 AQ HDC3 18's, that should be here next week.

i'm thinkin of an AQ 2200D1 to run them for right now, upgrade to a second one later

also got ahold of mechman atls, and was suprised that they actually do make an alternator for a montero... 240a... which should be sufficient right now

still working on the engine driven compressor... but that should be up and running soon.

still working out the final details on the box, but construction of it should start hopefully next weekend...

i know this build isnt exactly off to a running start, but with the job, wife, and all the responsibilities, i get maybe one day a work to really work on everything.

in the mean time... i will be doing a build on the wifeys car... 2010 lancer... will be throwing the old memphis PR 15's in there, in a fiberglassed box... pushed by a PA amp (she's not really a bass head, just wants a lil bump) ... so look out for that thread as well

great day today!!!! thanks to the hookup from cheeseburger35.... christmas came early this year, lol

got in my 2 AQ HDC3 18's, dual 1ohm's

these things are massive!!!

a couple comparison shots with my old memphis 15's... just to show the size difference

a few measurements...

and their future home...

BIG props to cheeseburger35.... i would def recommend doing buisness with him, if your ever thinking about it... great comunication.... and very fast shipping... even packaged them in the original boxes.

now i just have to start the box, order the amp, new alt, and the list goes on and on and on!

ok guys... i know this build is going at a snails post... but here's a major update.

after thinking about it for countless hours... i've decided to go all out... so heres what has changed.

the back seats are coming out... and for what you might ask?

6 AQ hdc3 18's.... running off of either 2 AQ 3500d's or an AQ 20k... still haven't decided yet. this means that this build is going to take longer than expected, just due to the fact that i've have to come up with all the funding for it... but i figure, if i'm going to do a whole rebuild... might as well go all out.

so, stay tuned... it might take a while, but i garuntee this build will be insane
