Ive just listened to one song by Cold (end of the world) but it sounds really good

I cant stand seether or nickelback...

Screaming is ok...just not the entire song. I want to feel like im listening to someone sing and actually understand the lyrics.

Thats why I said it was bad of me to generalize, but im not sure of the responses I'd get without mentioning *metal*.

I want the aggressiveness of a metal band (like strapping young lad) but with like 80% less screaming/growling. Devin Townsend Band (same lead guy from strapping young lad) is a perfect compromise for me (they actually would be ok with a little bit more, but its fine with me)
