i dont know if any of you have heard of it\them. but way back in the day i want to say richard clark did it - but its a complete guess. but it was like a grand national, or something classic from way back in the day. he removed the front seats and moved the pedals\steering back and literally drove from the back seat of the car.

im interested to know if anyone has any info because i cant find a **** thing for the life of me. anyone know anything about it or has any pics or something?

thanks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

thanks for the link but sadly that is not a back seat driver. if he had gotten rid of the front seats and relocated steering\pedals\shifter\center console to the back seats.

then it would be sweet. but i still dont understand why he has his midbass behind him //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I don't recall the speakerworks buick ever being rear seat driven, could have been . But the two times I saw it in person. It was just like pictured the first time, then I saw it after RC bought it, and tried to throw the different amps in ( alpine maybe ?? ).

Here is a pretty interesting setup from europe though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

yea ive seen the back in black car not too long ago, but its not quite the back seat driver i pictured. i dont really understand how the driver is supposed to reach the steering wheel or the shifter... it looks really far away to me.

but thats the idea. i was thinking more along the lines of litereally sitting in the back seat...having like 6' path lengths.

if thats my only example i guess it will have to do. i just wish there were more. id love to build one some day just for the fun of it.

would be pretty sweet, but moving all the dash components would be a nightmare //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

maybe when i get monies and i get rich.

I am not positive, but I think it was a small pontiac hatchback it hit a perfect score on the RTA and it was all powered by a punch 40. The inside was all fabricated and I believe this may be the car your talking about.

Talk to Audiolife.

He was (is?) friends with Kirk Perry and last I knew still talks to Lynn periodically. I've been over to Lynn's shop in Ohio (Custom Audio Concepts) with him as well.

From what Dave's said, he even helped a little on the original "back-seat driver". Doing little stuff like routing wire/etc since he was still a relative n00b at the time (compared to Kirk and Lynn). He can tell you a ton about the car though. How everything was setup. What speakers were used. Etc.
