well i have a male cat for 6 years now and just about 2 months ago my cat brought a stray female cat to our house.... and we have a covered patio and thats where they were. my cats spayed or nutered which ever lol. and the stray wasn't or atleast i found out today....

this moring my mom woke me up and said theres some rats outside on the deck.... im thinking WTF are you talking about.

so i check and find 3 little Kittens .... prob a day old not sure. so im freaking out here saying wtf why me... why i have to take care of more things...

so i got a shoe box and the 3 kittens are there.... any ideas on what ishould doo? other then keep the box with teh towel clean? cause i dont wanna piss the mom off.. the mom is a fairly young cat itself so i hope it takes care of them i am watching them every hour see what they are doing....

i'd be careful cause sometimes wen u touch the newborns, the mom won't want to take care of it no more or will try and kill it

naw the mom was just feeding the grey one about 10 minutes ago and moved them about 3 hours ago.

they are really cute kittens and the mom is very friendly im honestly thinking that some one dumped her 3 months ago, cause she has no where too go, so she stays in my patio with my cat who is taking care of her, cause there is another moster giant cat always starting shit...

Let the mom care for them for a bit. When the kittens get a little bit bigger, then you can intervene and get rid of them. At this point, they are really dependant on the mother.

If they are truly a day old or so then they can't even see yet (their eyes won't be open) so the scenery isn't particularly of any importance to them just yet.

If the box that they are in allows for room for all three of them + Mom to sleep comfortably (even though they will likely just sleep all in a pile for the now) then it's sufficiently big. Soon enough they will not be contained by any open-top box regardless of size and it won't matter.

All the food they need they'll get from Mom for awhile so that's not of any great concern just yet. Once Mom starts weaning them you can feed them kitten food alongside wherever you feed your own cat(s).

If so, there is a good chance they will all die. Sucks, but true.

As far as what to do, just let the mom take care of them.

just take care of the mommy -when i was young my sister found a cat by the dumpster in the projects we used to live in, when my mom went to bring the cat back the mommy cat left it so we kinda had to take care of it... you may want to get a little bottle to feed the cats cuz the mom might not want them any more
