I have the Inifnity 611a and I was wondering about the gauge to use. It says that the minimum I should use is 6AWG. Does that mean that 6 is the lowest number I can use or does it mean that I shouldnt use a smaller wire(higher gauge). Hopefully that makes sense to you guys. I was just a little confused on that being that a smaller gauge is a bigger wire. If it matters I am going to fit it with a JBL's power series 12 inch sub.

The minimum would mean that is the smallest wire that you should use... What is the output of that amplifier? If it is less than 1000w, then you should be fine with 8 guage, but 4 guage is always good because then you have room for upgrading without running a new wire, which is a pain in the ***.
