AVN5500 in an 06 Passat

Anyone familiar with installing AV HU's in a Passat?

I need to find the reverse wire and speed pulse wire and can't find it.

I will check when I go to work tomorow if no one responds by then. I didnt hook mine up with my 6610 and it works fine.

I have the AVN6600, when I installed it I didn't bother with the VSS and the reverse wire. Works fine as it is. Granted, supposedly if you are in an area where you don't get good reception (do a lot of driving downtown lets say and it has tons of tall buildings) it might help, but its pretty good without.

hello i have a avn 7000 in my VW GTI and dont have vss wire hookup just parking brakes on so can see DVD in move ment lol

OK - I thought it required these two to be hooked up.

If it'll work without, then I'll just tape it and be done with it.
