autotek any good?

was plannin to go with 2 1000wX1@1ohm hifonics amps as most say there pretty accurate, found autotek 1000X1@1ohm for 50 bucks cheaper. both are made by maxxsonics and i love all my hifonics speakers and subs, and i have a crunch amp also made by maxxsonics which does good as long as only using 4ohm per channel on the gp4150 i have, i got it at 2ohms per channel right now and it get HOT, not burn your skin off hot but hot to the touch that i dont wanna hold my hand on for more than a few seconds. anyways the subs i have say 300rms and 600peak, so 1000wX1@1ohm gets me 500 to each dual 4 ohm voice coil sub. really only need a true 300, prefer true 500 but its not like it will kill me as long as its true 300 each(600 total rms) so does anyone know if the autoteks amp are true to said specs? they got another autotek amp next class up for 70 bucks more, i would belive its true 1000 but since i dont desperatley have to have the true 1000 the lower class will do i just dont want an amp thats gonna get hot.

if it's the new autotek, it's the same thing as the hifonics. Hifonics recently bought autotek. if you really want a badass autotek go with the older smoked chrome mean machine.

hifonics couldn buy anyone, maxxsonics owns hifonics/crunch/autotek/mb quart. so its all maxxsonics been like that for a while now.

MM is there top of the line though, would there lowest class put out the quoted power?

With the Autotek lines, the Street Machine amps do 1/2 the power listed on the website, that is max power. The Supersport amps will do rated power and the Mean Machine amps are underrated. This was info given to me from Maxxsonics through an e-mail.

dangit i was going for a cheap 1000 watts cause i fount the SM for 150 at onlinecarstereo.com but if imma go with the SS for 220 imma stick with the original plan of the TXi hifonics for 200! thanks for all the info.
