I have had these in my closet waiting to install them but now that I am ready I find out my door is shallow...so I am going to get something else...these are 100% new..

they have the neo magnet strutcture and the round circular tweeter that attaches to the mid but I was going to cut off the circle and mount the tweet where I wanted to..

I havnt touched them till last night to verify shape

Is the only way to separate the tweeter is to cut it from the mid?

no the tweet is seperate from the mid....what i meant is that the tweet is attached to a ring that is supposed to mount onto the frame of the mid and act like a coaxial..

I have had these before and what I did was cut the ring off the tweet and mount it where I wanted...

it looks like a tweeter suspended in a big 6.5 inch circle....think of a coaxial but with the tweeter a seperate unit......you dont have to mount the tweet with the mid....it can be done just like a regular set...

I didnt actually try it...going off the manual it said top mount depth was 3.06 inches....I havnt taken them out of the box even....they might fit but now I already bought some Pioneer 720's.....
