so what would get louder type r or the sdc 2.5's??? if i got the room i was going to run 4 of either sub in a 10 off 2 ed nine.1's....

ur talking about rob i have sat in his car and it is loud. ask him if the atomic 5k makes 5000rms for 10mins off his battery bank. then ask him when he runs both amps if he can send a 10 min test tone? because ur not going to get 5000rms off music per amp. he has also found the limits of his subs and was blowing the pair with 1 5k...

it's all in who is on the vol knob as to how much ACTUAL power the subs will see.

they are good subs but with a true 5000rms ur gonna damage any 3" coil over time...

For a true daily set up I'd do up to 1k for the SDC's and if you want to throw more power at them then get HDC's.

I run an AQ3500 on each of my alum coil HDC's with no issues other then getting a little stinky after 5-10 minutes, but I'm tuned a 41Hz and sometimes I get stuck demo'ing new rap crap that's in the 30's. On rock/metal they take full tilt for as long as my ears can take it...

there is a guy on here who runs 2 hdc3 10's both off a atomic (sp?) 5000 and he has a video of them at full tilt with a hat in the port and they seem to be fine. so if he is actually doing it then id have to say they can take it.


anyways how much room do the sdc 2.5 10's need?

Seriously though like anything they do have thier limits. As far as continuous power I'd have to say 2.5krms ea. is about thier limit. Once you get around 3k+ things can get pretty stinky after about 1.5mins.

They will take gobbssss of power for short Demo's. Just gotta be smart about it
